Get Ready Centre is a Developmental Oriented Centre that was formed in the year 2000 and kept on improving since then. We are focused on building health, socio-economic development capabilities that empowers marginilized communities to increaseactive economic citizenship.
What We Do
Get Ready Information Services
It was established in 2000, for the purpose of intervention through programmes that contributes towards targeted communities health and socio economic challenges. Through sourcing relevant partnership to enable capacity in addressing challenges including; health pandemic, HIV & AIDS as communicable disease, and as providing care and supporting services, in comunity health services package for both communicable and non-communicable diseases.
The socio and economic imbalances need redress in the targeted communities, hence introductory to entrepreneurship supported. Non-financial services that includes training services for formal and informal enterprise to increase knowledge and skills. Community mobilisation for local economic development and coordination to maximise the local resources for active economic citizenship.
Various partnerships over the past 24 years enable information sharing platform and introduction of other entities as special purposed vehicle. Over the years health promotions in schools and local communities, civic and voter education, exhibition of local income generating activities, establishment of support groups and treatment adherence clubs for community health programs were conducted.
Get Ready Investment Holdings
In 2007 Developmental Microfinance Institution was established as a special purposed vehicle for poor enterprise development and poverty alleviation products.Through Grameen Foundation and bank other methodology, the outreach operations expanded from Malamulele, Head Office in Vhembe District to Mopani District in Limpopo Province, JTG District in Northern Cape and Gauteng at City of Johannesburg coordinating office operation in Tswane Metro. Currently remodelling the methodology for financial inclusion with financial capabilities, to maximise the microfinance services accessibility, to improve rural and township local economy for inclusive economic growth. The methodology that would strengthen the existance of stokvel to increase access to microfinance services, that enhance credibility for financial support from financial institutions to create wealth creation activities
Cooperative Financial Institution
The platform to be established for staff and clients of Get Ready, to make saving mobilisation for emergency needs and wealth creation activities. The cooperative would be intervention for risk mitigation in accessing financial needs support as the staff are mainly volunteers earning stipends and can hardly access financial services as being unBankable due to low income earnings. Cooperative principles toempower members to be incharge and control the running of the cooperations,ad being involved also in decision making
